Default Miss Geico 36 receiver antenna

bought used boat and the antenna is cut and only about 6 inches long. The other piece of antenna is gone. Anyway to fix or do I need to buy new receiver?

You can just buy antennas for most receivers.

Some receivers have replacement antennas, with a replaceable plug on the circuit boat, but many do not. You can try stripping off 31.2mm of the outer shielding from the end of the wire to expose the inner conductor and restore what's left of the antenna you do have. It won't be able to reach very far outside of the hull, but it will pull in a signal after the modification.

    From the web.

The DX2E is compatible with all Spektrum™ DSMR™, DSM2?, DSM? and Marine surface receivers. Install the Receiver in your vehicle using double-sided foam servo tape. Foam servo tape will hold the receiver in place and help isolate it from vibrations. Mount the antenna up and away from the vehicle in an antenna tube.

So just pick up a new receiver.
