Default Xt90 good to use or need bigger connector?

I have an old seaking 180 with xt90. I Check xt90 can do 90amp continiously . Is it enough for sss4082 and abc h7 prop or need to change to qs8?

You didn't mention kV or S-rating. My advice is for 4S or 6S, EC5 would probably work on 4S.

xt90 will melt off, might as well jump to qs8.
You could try EC5, they are ok up to 150A, but will most likely de-solder themselves.

What kind of amps do you plan to draw? XT90 might be sufficient, or it may not. You haven't mentioned the type and size of the boat, the battery voltage you intend to run, or the kv rating of the motor.

FWIW, I run the same size motor, in 2100kv variant, on 4S, with the same prop, and pull 135A continuous and 192A maximum, but in a very very lightweight low-drag boat (Rigger). A hydroplane would pull even more amps, a cat even more than that, and a mono even more than that! Oh, and like every boat I own, it has QS8 connectors.

I would use QS8 then. On 6S with a similar kv and same prop, your amp draw will be even higher than mine. I'm guessing in the 160A continuous and 250A max range.
