    Default Storing motor

Any problem spraying corrosion x in the motor to ensure no rust from any water after I crashed my boat? Motor will not be used until I build a new boat.

Definitely would recommend that, and oiling the bearings assuming they're accessible. I would blow out the motor with compressed air first to try to get rid of any existing moisture first.

You could put the motor in a warm dry place, e.g. on top of hot water cylinder, for a few days to dry any moisture after spraying with corr X. Storing it with some silica gel packets wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks for the information I did leave out in the sun and then I put it in a bag with a couple silica packs I had.
