Great looking boat and I love the action shot!
The fins allow for minute lateral adjustments to be made to improve cornering!

Looks good Larry. Did you use teflon in your drive line or just bare brass?

Mono Jeff in here makes nice windshields. If you make a paper template of what you need and mail it to him, he could print you one.

No Teflon Ray, just good marine grease.

OK - so after debating with myself about the placement of my radio receiver.
I finally decided to place it at the front away from the motors and ESC's.
I had built a reinforcement piece for the deck out of 2mm carbon fiber plate that I got from OSE.
Along with two pieces of the 1/4" carbon square tube that I had. I drilled 3/32" holes in the plate and the tubing.
I then put it altogether with JB Weld.
The antenna sticks out 4" high just in front of the hatch.

I like it Larry, a little loom down the middle of hull for Rx power and steering servo would work great

If I would’ve known that I could have sent you out some loom and ties on a truck a week ago.

I picked up some black cable ties, and some 3/4' X 3/4" square tie downs.
I used all the loom that I had in stock, on the front section between the ESC's and the receiver.
I then ordered 4 more meters of the black 8MM loom from BC ROTICS in Nanaimo BC.

Can you remember the approximate distance of the motor mounts in your old Mean Machine? It would help give me an idea for my little twin.

Did you lay it out for the CG before you committed to that spot or did you just choose a place?

    I was working on a couple of Swordfish X+ 200A ESC's today.
The water inlets were only .095" inside, So I took some measurements
To see if a piece of 5/32" brass tubing would make it better.
    It will fit.
So I drilled out the ESC to 5/32" all the way through, then I used a 3/16" reamer to open up the ends to 7/16" deep.
Every thing would fit like a charm.
This would make the water flow 2.8 times more then before.
I then had to come up with a way to make the tubing secure so it would not just slid off.
Even with a wire tie. I still needed a bump on the end to stop it from sliding.

So I cut a few pieces of 5/32" tubing 1" long, heated one end up and quenched it in water to soften it.
I took a piece of 3/16" Dia. aluminum . turned the end down to 5/32" to fit into the tubing with a taper at the top.
I then put this piece into the tube, and used a small tap hammer about 4 to 5 taps, to flare out the end.
I then heated the end up again and let it Air cool to harder it.
A little JB weld to hold the tubes in place.
Now we have good water flow and no change of a water line coming off.

I think that you could also use a flare kit for 3/16" brake line.

Things have kind of come to a halt right now.
I had to send one of my ESC's back to Offshore for a replacement.
Water leak from one of the brass tubes.

Second picture is as they come from Offshore.

At first I only trimmed the Black heat shrink enough to put the tubing on the brass tube. (see third picture)

The leak was still under the black heat shrink.
I did not find it untill I cut off the black heat shrink all the way back to the ESC.

A Little pit of progress, seeing that I am waiting for my ESC to return from Swordfish, And have other boats to clean up and get ready for the race season. I have sent this hull out for a wicked paint job. I will show some pictures as the process continues.
