Default Problems with hobbyking ESC and aquastar motor, any suggestions on how to fix this?

I am almost done with a long 8 month or so build of a wooden scale boat, a Sterling models Century SeaMaid. I built a belt drive setup and mounted a aquastar 2842-2800KV motor along with hobbyking 30amp boat esc. I linked a couple videos to show whats happening, it seems like its "cogging" I also purchased a handheld programmer and tried different start rates "punch" and different timing levels and the motor acts the exact same way. The boat is 27" long and pretty heavy compared to fast electric racing boats.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

If not, what motor/esc combo would you recommend for this? ideally it would have a 1/8" shaft so I dont have to machine anymore pulleys. I would like something that can run the boat at slow speeds and still have enough power to get up on plane and move pretty good, maybe pull some scale skiers behind it so I do want power to spare.

    Thanks in advance!

It is missing one of the 3 phases, resolder the 6 motor/esc connections, a bad solder joint is the most common cause and the least expensive fix, hopefully that sorts it out.
