Default The northwest scale championship returns in 2022

The Northwest Scale Championship Race is Back!
    July 22, 23, 24

Location, Marysville, Washington at Gissberg Twin Lakes Park (north lake)

Classes, 1/8th scale Nitro and Electric, Gas Scale, 1/7th and 1/10th scale Electric, semi-scale Thunderboats
(electric boats must be configured per the NAMBA Rulebook)

This is a great time to make it a boat racing vacation! In 10 days, racers can compete in the Northwest Scale Championship Race, then head east over to the Tri-Cities for the RC Unlimiteds Columbia Cup and the H1 Unlimites race on the Columbia River. While in western Washington there's the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum that's a must see in Kent, just south of Seattle.

Many of the details are still being settled so check back here for details on pre-registration, hotels, RV Parks and fees.

Participants must have valid NAMBA membership prior to the event.

NAMBA safety rules will be in effect

General race event question? email Mike Cathey at mido46@comcast.net

Questions specifically relating to electric boats? email Marty Shallenberger at martysh56@gmail.com

Today pre-registration is open. $20 for the first boat, $10 for all additional boats regardless of class. Pre-Registration guarantees your participation in the event. It allows us to preload the computer prior to the race. It's possible we may have limited boat counts due to time restraints. All entrants must have NAMBA insurance prior to the event.

Payment is by check, Money Orders or PayPal. Registrations will be confirmed via email. The following information must accompany registrations.

Looks like we will have a large turnout of 1/10 1/8 and 1/7 scale Fe boats this year - If you are planing on attending please register to confirm your registration so you don't get left out as the heats could fill up quickly

The format for the race will be,

All 1/10th and 1/7th scale FE classes will be run on Saturday along with at least 2 heats of 1/8th scale nitro/FE, Gas Scale and Thunderboats.

1/8th scale nitro/FE and Gas Scale will be a best 4 out of 6 heats determining points into the connies and final. If time runs short on Sunday we may drop it to a best 4 out 5 heats. Thunderboats will be a 4 heat all-points race similar to what they do in the district.

We will be using a 3 minute clock.

Please help out with turn judging, buoy replacements and dead boat retrieval.

We will be using hot pits and an on-deck area with a pit boss to keep the program moving so be ready when you are up.

We will be using a 3 minute clock.
