    Default Cable size

I am building a 1/7th scale hydro. Would a 3/16th cable be to small? Or should I use a 1/4" flex with a 3/16th stub. 1/4 flex is so heavy. 55" CF boat 13lbs, 1527 1.5/Y NEU or Scorpion both 850 kv

    What he said..
And I learned the hard way a few years ago to use a 1/4" dog so that you don't weaken the 3/16" stub putting a flat on it.

The 1/4” cable is 75% heavier - but really that’s just a few ounces. You will thank us when your hydro isn’t stuck dead in the middle of the pond with a broken cable, taking on water with no rescue in sight…

Depending on the props you will use, there is more strength using a 1/4” bore prop. Those motors will handle the smaller 1/4” props - on 8S.
