Default Is my rudder too small ? Rudder size for home built 24" wildthing mono hull

Just checking if my rudder is too small ?

The boat is scaled down wildthing - 24"

Its a 62mm long rudder & comes back 63mm from the transom. I feel it looks a little small to other mono builds I've seen. Also am I mounting it too low where it is now ?

It's my first larger size boat, ive only had toy grade before...

    Thanks all

that looks fine all you need is 1"-1/2" below the tip of the prop , you will know if it's to short if it spins out in the turns !

Yes, that rudder is more suited for boats about 18".

If you want to keep it cheap, use one of the generic Chinese 75mm rudders.

Suggest to add some turning fins.

Thanks all - I managed to find the original designers article of the 32" nitro wildthing & hes got the lengths there. So looks like im a bit short on the rudder, i'll get a new one.

Also has measurments for turn fins..

I figure at 32" mine would be 75% so ill reduce those measurements down to 75%.
