    Default Mystic 29 strut setting

Where should I set the strut shaft on my Mystic 29 and what prop should I use. Himax 1500 at 4s 60c.

An M447 is a nice prop for oval sprints. I think and 1815 17 -45 ABC will work too but strut will need to push the bow down some.

I've always set my struts up FLAT, and about 1/8" above the bottom of the sponsons.

I would set the boat on my setup board, put a 1/8" shim stock under the strut, push the strut down flat against it, and tighten down.

If you are going to run the more modern ABC 17-degree rake style props, you may want to angle it down slightly to regain some of the lift and keep the nose from riding up.

Also, on mine, I ran an M447/3 prop with the ProBoat 1500 with GREAT results. However, the HiMax isn't quite the same motor, so might be too much prop.
