Default Delta Force 49 Setup for Racing

I need some helpful insight on the setup for racing on this boat

I want to use a TP motor...How many Kv do you recommend and Prop size as well?

I agree, the most optimal option!

I would not recommend an 800kv motor and 3/16 prop for a 49" hull. Go down to 600 to 650kv and swing a proper gas size prop.

Well I guess it depends on if 10s is the racing limit.
I stand by my recommendation for racing. You can do a 1/4 to 3/16 inch step down shaft. I’ve done a 48inch mono and this set up was ideal.

Small props are out of the water more than big ones. Racing water gets very choppy and the big boats handle better with a bigger prop. I have converted 2 monos and a cat and raced them against gas boats. I much preferred the big prop route. Spinning the snot out of a little prop is fine if your running by yourself. I have also snapped several of the step down shafts too so not much to like for me when I tried that route. But that doesn't mean you can't make it work I guess.
