I plan on building a flooded box over the stuffing tube, so I can make trim adjustments later. Strut is a Speedmaster 40 size. A piece of 5/16" brass tube has been fixed in the strut, with 3/8" extending into the hull. A slight curve is needed to get the stuffing tube lined up to the motor. The stuffing tube will only be anchored at the front.

The initial idea is to use the 5/16" stuffing tube up to the motor. This requires a section of 11/32" alignment collar, where the tubes meet. The picture shows that I have gotten this far, but nothing is attached yet. It seems that there is not much clearance for the flex shaft.

An alternative is to make the entire stuffing tube from the 11/32" tubing. Is there any reason not to do that?
