    Default Pacer finishing resin PT-40

Hi all .I have always just used the PT-40 resin to seal wood grain and do fiberglass lay-up .Would this resin also work for glueing birch ply decking to blue Dow foam and plywood frames . Regards Andris Golts.

Denatured alcohol is not that easy to find but Canadian tire I think has some if they will let you in to look.

I haven't tried his technique on a wood boat but i have build a Whiplash with the stuff for structure. It's nice and thin but as video shows you can go thinner if you like.

If it was a large Q-sport or something I might want to use MAS or West Systems but for smaller boats I think it's fine.

For finishing he specifically says to use non starched FG cloth. Most hobby shops don't know the difference since not many people build like this any more.

I've used 99% Isopropyl alcohol to thin Pacer Z-Poxy.

OK. Might be back later in Feb than expected. Specialist appointments keep getting cancelled.

I have some Denatured alcohol in Milton I could give you some when there. Stinky as heck. I got it a few years back when I last ran boats in Michigan. Crazy what they sell there and not here????
