    Default Challenger 48 motor position?

Building a fe 48 Challenger. It?s my first build, had many rtr?s. My question is how far do I set back the motor? I?ve heard COG should be 30-33% from transom. What does that mean in terms of where the the weight of gear should be.. motor, esc, battery?s? The motor is a TP 5680 800kv, ZTW 300 on 12s.

Get all components that are going into the boat, mount all transom hardware in its permanent location and then loosely place the rest
motor, esc, radio, batteries EVERYTHING in a position that works and then move stuff around until it balanced at 16" from the transom ( 33% of your boats length). Make sure to leave room so you can move the batteries both fore and aft as they are the heaviest component and will let you fine tune the balance point, but your figure of 30-33% is a good starting point.
