    Default F1 balancing?

Hi I have a aqua craft speed 3 going electric. I am trying to get the COG right the batterie is up front with the rest of the electronics. But still need more weight up front. Do I simply add some led in the nose ? It just seems wrong to add weight to a speed boat Thanks

If the CG isn’t right the boat won’t be fast - at least not for very long. Adding tape weights to the inside front tips of the sponsons is the lightest way to move the CG forward after you’ve moved all the components forward.

True that adding weight way up front requires the least weight but on a tunnel you also create a teeter totter effect and when you lift on throttle the boat nose dives, and in corners that makes it hook. I always add weight midship so the boat settles in level when lifting. On an FE tunnel you have plenty of torque to reaccelerate. I have not seen that running light does anything positive in handling. Speed won't be reduced significantly and what good is speed when your upside down.
