I bought an unknown Spartan, which turns out had been under salt water for a while, and badly neglected.
After putting 2 brand new GensAce 5000mah 3s 50c batteries in it, to run 6s, I *somehow* managed to pop the cooling jacket's pipe off, and the hull filled up with water, leading to:
1) the Deans (I know now) connector melting, and the 2 poles touching,
2) the stock esc melting,
3) the stock motor siezing,
and 4) 2 brand new batteries drowned in salt water.

So, I got hold of a brand new 120 amp Seaking esc, a good used 3550 1500kv Dynamite motor and a brand new stock plastic prop.
This setup, with stock rudder, and 2 more 5000mah, 3s, 50c batteries is obviously a bit slower than it was, but still fun to drive.
I have ordered a PRB282019, from a Proboat Voracity, which is listed as 1,6 x 1,7 x 3/8ths, yet to be installed.

Can anyone foresee any grief I am going to encounter with the above setup?
Anything to watch for, based on your experiences with a similar setup?
Im in South Africa, and pretty lucky to get hold of anything younger than wooden propellers and wind-up motors, we really are backward here, especially trying to operate on a budget.
Many thanks for any input.
