Why 1/8" ? Most come in Metric and they aren't perfect.

I've never seen CF sheets (technically, "planks") in imperial measurements...only metric. That being said, you can find them on a few websites, c including OSE, Avid (also great for bearings), Amain, and others.

I know that OSE has 2mm, I would like something thicker for a motor mount in a twin (56mm motors) 8S cat.
I could get the the 2mm from OSE and sandwich them together to make 4mm.

I used to buy most of my CF plate on eBay but post COVID prices from China are pretty ridiculous.

Avid RC (which I previously mentioned) carries 95mm x 295mm sheets, in thicknesses from 1.5mm, up to 5mm. Super-high quality products, and racers have been using (and winning with) their bearings for years.

I get all my carbon fiber stuff from ACP Composites. They have CF plate that measures .127"
Larry,
Why carbon fiber for motor mount rails? For the "LOOK" of carbon I suspect. It would have no real world advantage over fiberglass in this application.
I use this 1/16" G10 FRP for all my rails, up to 56mm motors, then I switch to 1/8", although I truly believe that the thinner plate would really be strong enough to handle the big motors. G10 is a LOT cheaper than carbon too.

This is the type of mount I want to use, it will be for a 56mm motor, No tail ring, The one in the picture is Aluminum with a 4060 motor.

The sheets from Hobbyking are actually really nice. I've been using all available thickness (1.5, 2, 3, 4mm) for years. They come in 200x300mm and 300x400mm sheets.
Making your own also isn't terribly difficult. You could always mix a little fiberglass or kevlar in the layup.
