Default removing motor mount from 36 miss geico

    Hello All

I broke the motor mount in my current mg 36. I have an old hull that I took another mount out of by cutting through the hull. Any ideas on how to get the broken one out with out messing up the hull? I am thinking of using a dremel grinder. Any other thoughts? Is there a way to soften the expoxy for instance?

Blast the area with heat. I use an old hair drier to soften the white epoxy. I use a sharp chisel and a small hobby hammer to slide in between the epoxy and hull being careful not to gouge the fiberglass hull. Be careful to not put too much pressure on the hull while pulling or prying as it's easy to crack the gelcoat doing so.

it all worked out. I only needed to take a portion of the motor mount out....the part holding the stuffing tube. then i just expoxied in the same piece from my old mount into place and was done.....have to get it out for a trial run but hoping it all works out. Replaced the prop strut as well as I think that is where the original problem came from
