Default Delta Force 28 P-Limited Cat

Is it better to run 1- 5000Mah 4s mounted on the top middle of the boat inner hull in front of ESC, or 2P 2500Mah batteries on both inner sides for heat racing and or 2 lap oval trials? As for motors, lower kv with larger prop, or higher kv with smaller prop? 1500, 1800 or 2000kv. Thanks, Chris!

I prefer a single battery mounted low and centered in the hull, assuming you're able to achieve your desired center of gravity balance with the rest of the components laid out in that configuration.

I don't have any experience racing that particular hull, but you're describing two different events. Heat racing is about finishing the race with just barely enough left in your packs to complete the race time. A 2 lap race doesn't need that reserve and the water is calmer since there's only one boat running. the setup is usually much looser with more RPM.
