Default ProMarine RC Skater X2 Setup Assistance Needed

I recently purchased a new ProMarine Skater X2, and, while the boat looks fantastic, I've run into a couple of minor 'problems'. First, the included "Instruction Manual and Tuning Guide" is for the wrong boat. Second, there's supposed to be an included sheet covering adjustment of the drives, and a "starting point measurement".

Starting with the "Instruction Manual and Tuning Guide", what I purchased is the RTR version of the Skater X2 (twin). However, ehat was included was the manual for the ARTR version of the Skater (single). Obviously, there are several differences between these two vessels, especially the entire rudder assembly. Even though I've never built a boat, or even had to do finally assembly on any boat (so far, my only boats have been ProBoat from Horizon Hobby), I'm fairly certain I can figure out how to assemble the remaining parts. However, I'm wondering if there's any additional information in the correct manual/guide that I need to know...info not covered in the ARTR Skater manual/guide.

Moving onto the other missing item, within the videos on ProMarine's Facebook page, there's one titled "Introducing the Skater X2", and, within that video, there's a point where Mike mentions a particular sheet that will be included in the box of every Skater X2 (I'd assume the same sheet is also included in all MTR X2 boxes). He started that the sheet shows how to adjust the drives, and even includes a few measurements for a few specific props (particularly the "starting point" measurement for using the stock props). As I indicated, this sheet is completely missing, so I have no idea how to properly adjust the drives (tho, again, I can probably figure this out), or where to set the drives for the boats stock props. Making matters worse, the drives are not aligned with each other - one looks almost straight back, and possibly slightly downward, while the other is definitely angled higher.

Does anyone have these missing items - the instruction manual/tuning guide, and the drive adjustment sheet - that they could send me PDF files of? While the manual/guide is somewhat important, the drive adjustment sheet (or whatever it's officil name is) is very important. I contacted Mike, but his reply wasn't very helpful. He told me to just watch the videos on the Facebook page, as they contain more info than the manuals, and they contain anything I'd need to know - except that the videos didn't really give much info.

I even called an LHS that just happens to also be an authorized ProMarine dealer, and their 'boat specialist' was a bit on the rude side. In short, he refused to help me, purely because I bought the boat from 'another' hobby shop, and not from them. He actually asked me if I had bought the boat from them (which he already knew I hadn't, as they haven't even had a Skater X2), and, when I said "No", he actually had the gall to say, "Then why should I help you?"

As I'm still just getting into RC FE, and this is my first race-capable boat, I could really use some extra assistance. Can anytime please help? If you don't have the the pages in missing, could someone at least provide the necessary information, so that I can properly adjust the drives, and set the drives to an appropriate angle? Regarding the placement of batteries, is it better to place them on the sides, in front of the motors? Or centered, in front of the ESCs? Does anyone have better/alternate prop recommendations? Are the included 120A ESCs more than sufficient enough? Or should they be replaced with 180A ESCs? I'm not looking to do "high speed" passes with this boat, so not trying to her 'the fastest'...want her fast, but also want her stable, for heat racing.

It looks like you never received an answer. I am buying a used Skater X-2 today and hoping it comes with the information. If it does I'll get you the documents you are requesting. If it doesn't hopefully you've figured something out and can give me some setup hints.

    Thanks,
    Ernie

Nothing, so far. Hopefully, the one your buying comes with more info than mine did. On the "plus" side, I did pick up a matched set of some S&B ABC 1715-23-50 3-blade props...and, as smooth as she ran on the stock props, she now runs smooth AND fast(er). She's gonna make a super-fine P-open boat...as long as her 'captain' learns better steering control...lol
