For this inquiry, assume your typical P-Limited or P-Open Class vessel (ie. up to 34" hull, 3-4S batteries, & up to 10,000mAh battery capacity). Also, assume that 5600-5800mAh is to be used. As the weight of the battery/batteries involved are fairly similar, this does not play into the questions I'll be asking. Finally, in regards to the motor & prop, assume it is the same for all questions. As for the questions..........

Is it better to run a single 5800mAh 4S? Or two 2800mAh 4S in Parallel? Or two 5800mA 2S in Series?

How does each (especially compared to the other two options) affect the temperatures of the batteries/battery, motor, and ESC? How does each affect the longevity of the batteries/battery? How does each affect the operation & speed of the vessel? For each option, what are advantages & disadvantages? And, finally, given the ability to run reach option, which, for racing, as well as for "personal enjoyment" (ie. anything other than racing), would be considered the best configuration...and why?
