    Default prop suggestions

Hi guys! I'm new to electric hydros so i need some ideas what prop to start with on a project .I have a Dumas vintage 31 in wood .21 ex nitro hydro believed to be a former Pay'n Pak fitted with a 4074 Leopard 2000kv,4s 5000 50c battery, 150 amp Raider ESC. Just like to get some ideas where to begin with prop diameter, pitch etc. I'm thinking of starting in the 42mm diameter range. Is that feasible? Open for any ideas? Thanks

I would say that a 42mm 1.4 pitch prop would be a good place to start then work your way up slightly in diameter if you have the need for more speed but watch your temps if you do. I have a Pursuit with the same motor on 4s running an Octura M445 and I have no need to go any faster. M series props will give you a bit more top end speed but are slower to accelerate. X series props will give you faster acceleration out of the hole but slightly lower top end speed.
