Default Rudder depth required for 18 '' hydro ?

Hi all building a Dumas kit # 1301 18 '' Atlas van lines hydro there is very little surface area on the transom the only rudder that will fit is a TFL micro rudder OSE-80048 the rudder blade would sit 1.5'' bellow the hull. Would this be enough blade to steer a 18'' hydro? Regards Andris Golts.

I used that rudder on my 1:20 scale Atlas (18") and it worked quite well. Plenty of steering authority. Should you find that it's not quite enough, this rudder (https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pr...prod=ose-80047) will fit the bracket of the TFL micro rudder.
