No... it doesn't match... it's a shade or so darker... it's Krylon, but I'm don't recall the exact color number... I can find out tonight...

I'de guess like a 37mm prop would be a good place to start with the lipo's but thats just my guess.

ive not tried on this prop , but my bet would go on the octurax442. after my reserch and countless of sv videos watched , hydra 120, feigao 9xl , would make u win may races with a good tuning too im sure ... unless someone has better than this set up for now tho .

just my 2 cents to it ~

Usually with 4s lipo people are running smaller props like the x437 especially with hotter motors but maybe with the 120 you could get away with the X442. Thats what I run on my stock set-up I also detounged mine. I don't have experience with running lipo's in the sv yet so I'm just going by what I've read. I could be wrong just watch the temps of batterys, motor, and esc maybe the 442 will be fine.

...should probably move this discussion out of this thread.

If you're only getting 38.9 with the the Ammo2300 + Grim 3-blade, then it is likely something other than "a prop issue".

You should be getting nearer 48.9 with that setup IME.

Start a new thread about feigao vs ammo or something like that. Just because this is off topic for this thread.

Very nice! Isn't that fuel tubing? If so I don't see why you would have a problem. I made a coil just like that for my BL mini-v and it works good but probably not as good as direct water contact like the stock jacket. Did you have problems with leaking? You can run a bead of silicone to seal the silicone jacket on. Or the ose metal water jackets work very well from what I hear. Did you do the paint yourself? I'm trying to come up with a design to airbrush on minne!

    Default paint color

No i had a friend that paints cars and motorcycles airbrush my SV. Hes pretty good.

I used the stock ose water jacket but it leaked a little. I know theres tricks and things you can do to the silicone jacket to make it not leak like grease, snipping the nubs, etc...but i said why BS with it....and make a cool looking copper one.

I wish someone would post a setup: As in the turn fins, rudder, tabs etc...on how to tweak it to get the most speed out of it.

Heres a clip of my boat.

    Default My Humble Effort

You guys have some awesome talent! My efforts are pretty meager in comparison but I still like trying anyway. My whole design concept is based on being able to see my boat at a distance and being able to see which end is the front after a flip. My first RC boat was a medium blue N1 mono and the first race I lost the boat in the backstretch. The next weekend it was white and I found myself going the wrong way down the course after a flip. Since then everything I race has orange flames on the front!

its 1/4" copper tubing from lowe's.
Nice flames carolhazlett. I love my flames.

I see alot of people are building pvc pipe stands for their boats. Does anyone on here have the specs so i can go to lowes and buy the pieces i need? EX: How many T-joints, elbows, 90 degrees, etc..

well here is a parts list for a stand
    parts list;
5' of either 1/2" pvc(white) or 3/4" cpvc thinwall(cream colour) (my local Ace hardware will sell by the foot, last time I looked 'Farm & fleet' had 5' lengths availible)
fittings to match type of pipe
    4 tees
    4 elbows
out of that 5' of pipe you will need
    4 connectors 1.5"
    1 cross piece(bow) 4.75"
    1 cross piece (stern) 5.5"
    2 side rails 18"
foam pipe wrap (iirc 34" total) & a roll of vinyl electriacians tape)
taint quite as fancy as some but it works for me.
