    Default Darin's N2-Mono Equiped SV27

OK, here is one of mine... I'm trying it out in N2-Mono...

All stock, with the exception of the following pieces:

    • Fuller's carbon turn fins on both sides (stock brackets)
    • OSE Adjustable trim tabs (bolted into stock location/holes)
    • Neu 15-series motor
    • Barracuda 125 ESC
    • Prop
    • 2S2P Lipo batteries

I wanted to do it in a fashion with minimal mods, so I could easily convert it back to Spec SV27 specs.

    Default Darin's son, Tommy's, Spec SV27

This is the first SV27 I purchased... It's all stock with the exception of some OSE adjustable trim tabs. I have it all prepped for Spec SV27 (our club's rules, which will be run at the Nats for 2007), and my 7-year old son, Tommy, races this one...

I think we've won every heat we've been in that we've finished, and we've only DNF'd two I think... Not the fastest one out there down the straights, but it's set up to be drivable and win races! Looking forward to trying it with some NEW batteries, as we've been using last years left overs so far this season!

It's not ALL about top speed...

    Hi:
Here are some pics of my SV27, no, I didn't do the airbrushing, wish I had that talent though:rolleyes: I run a number of diffrent props, 440/3, 642, m445, the m445 is a great out of the hole rocket but I like the 440/3 for best handling and speed. I run the OSE water jacket, and OSE adjustable trim tabs work great. The radio I'm using is the Spektrum dx3, no need for an external antenna and I've never had a signal loss, the antenna only has to go vertical for about an inch and stays inside.

    Ken:)

nothing wrong with stickers, look on line at some custom automotive vinyl, they can print some pretty cool stuff now and you can cover your whole boat in it with custom cut pieces.

    Default SV27s in Nationals Action!!

Hey Guys... Just thought you'd like to see my SV27s in action at the Nationals!

With the #27 boat, I ran it in the following configurations:

N2-Offshore - Neu 1512 1.5D (3200KV), B125 ESC, 2S2P Lipos (8700mah total) for 2-heats, then switched to Neu 1515 1.5D (2800KV) for the last heat with a bigger prop... the later combo worked much better... Got 3rd place overall with this one!

    P-Offshore - Neu 1515 1Y (2200KV), B125 ESC, 3S2P Lipos (10,000 mah total)... Prop was a 42x55 and it worked great...

    P-Mono - Neu 1515 1Y (2200KV), B125 ESC, 3S2P Lipos (10,000 mah total).... 45x55 prop... Got 3rd place overall with this one!!

The other boat is my Spec SV27... Didn't complete ONE lap in that class! Maybe I was expecting too much after driving the other one as fast as it was!! Had fun either way!!

Credit to Jim Clark for the AWESOME pictures!!
