    Default OSE carbon raider

After being out of the hobby for a while - im going to build a mono.

Now things have moved on a lot so i'm after suggestions on what will work, what will not...

This will be 'sport running' hopefully 60mph+ without getting too hot.

So far my plan is a raider hull, 1521 1y with 6s and starting with a 42-45mm 3 blade prop.

the parts list so far - see pic

and then WD200 modellbau drive, rudder and turn fins...

Any suggestions before i pull the trigger and order ? Wont be doing any racing etc - not much to do in the uk, might have a bash at the SAW's if im in the country when they are running.

    Thanks, Liam

For the price difference, carbon hull appeals more to me...

There is FE racing in the UK if you are interested in it, the size is good for Mono2 but being an inefficient unstepped design this particular hull isn't well suited to the classes we run in average water conditions, though it could be good in very rough weather.

Hope to see you at the SAWs.

Hi Paul, i did plan for it to be a rougher weather boat, i spent 1/2 my time at my place in Keswick - Lake district (well i guess 1/4 as 1/2 my life im offshore) so building it as something i can play with when im out on my full sized boat or just whenever conditions don't allow for too much fun with my HPR

What are you guys running for hulls?

    Rasch Tomcat, Essence, Q Essence
    ETTI Vertigo, Exiga
    Tenshock Tomahawk
    H&M Speedman
And home made or cottage industry stuff, I would class Rasch as a cottage industry too, but it is pretty popular here so makes the main list.
