Default Etti 150 or 200 amp

I have a Neu 1515 1Y in a DF 33" hull. Will the Etti 150 handle this set up, or
would the earlier model 200 amp make it more bullet proof.
Just trying to make the right purchase from the start.

I'd buy the biggest ESC that you can afford (and fit the boat) so you can be sure that it will not burn due to current spikes (or high in general)... besides if you ever wanna retire this boat and get a bit bigger or push it harder there will be room.
    just my opinion.

I think the Etti's are conservatively biased. Shld be no problem. What prop are you starting with? 447 wld be a good starting point. I have a couple you can try Sunday.

Thanks Mike, the boats not ready yet, I`ll bring all my stuff sunday for critique. Have you run the 150 etti in your df yet? I have a choice of the discontinued 200 amp or the new 150. I`m hearing the 150 is better, so now I don`t know which one to get.

I can vouch for the etti 150. I run it in my df29 with a neu 1521/1y on 6s. Barely gets warm. It is a workhorse of an esc. I to have heard that the 150 is a more capable esc than the 200.

My opinion stands, but in the case of one that is discontinued vs. the new one... the new one would be my choice due to tech support.

tth what speeds are you getting on the 29 DF on 6s? Seems to much for that hull.
