Hi Pete, is there PL version on the Laser cutter?
Cheers, Jay.

@Inspector: Wow, that is a very kind offer! Unfortunately I don't have a 3D model of the cowl. I printed out a picture of an H350 and drew the profile and top view onto a block of wood. I didn't mean to bad talk the mold that bad, it's actually really nice, just needs more sanding. If you look close at the pictures below, you can see some fine lines in the pull.
@Jay: LOL. You mean the stealth version? You want one of these? Ha ha ha!!
Yup !! Grape Nutz is pretty quick and steady. Gotta check out the stealth and compare.
J.
I ran the stealth version again last weekend. My driving is a bit rusty, but video below.

This is the 70mph heat race set-up w/2400kv TP motor. The boat handled very well. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was how easily it settled down after it got a little loose. It 'floats' and gives you plenty margin prior to blowing off. Terry attributes this to the new cowl shape.
This version still has the Tyler Davis sponson design, but everything is lowered and the ride pads continue straight up to the tips. It is by far the lowest profile hull I've ever made.
In other news, I heard the Pink Panther boat set a NAMBA record. Congrats Tommy!
I'll begin offering P-kits again soon with the new cowl design. I have a list of those interested. Just message me if you want to be added.
Thanks!
Hi Larry. Good to hear from you. The V12 (stealth version, super low profile) is the latest and it is what I will be selling. Thanks!

Sounds great Larry! I'll put you on the list. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the race.
Attached is the data from the run on the video above. I thought it was reasonable, but looking for other opinions. If you recall, the faster set-up (75mph) was really pushing the limits and I propped back down.
6s kit available?

Hi Moonie. No, sorry. Not at this time. We made a couple prototypes. If they work, then I'll start offering them. Thanks!
I made progress on the cowling. I'm calling it done. I pulled some really nice smooth cowls the other night. It's a real struggle to make the nose look good without extending beyond the leading edge. The snub nose is intentional to give the illusion that it continues beyond the edge when looking at the profile. IMO, it's the best looking Black Pearl yet!
Working on skins for the new design and then it will be done! I'm planning to start ordering kits in August. Thanks guys!
That is one F****D up looking cowl. You need to redo...the truth hurts i know.
Lol, I knew you would hate it. :)
Keith
How about this one?

Hi Pete, don't sweat it, remember pretty boats don't go fast "MMP".
Cheer, Jay.
We need a more scale looking cowl with big nasty exhaust pipes hanging out. The UL1 almost had it correct, but the pipes were too small to look real.
Who can make the pipes...any ideas?

Looks like you are running about 200amps, average. That's where I was with the 76mph setup (yellow and blue). I've been running the red setup lately. Not as fun.
Green - 1515-1Y w/H5 (66mph)
Red - TP4050 w/H5 (71mph)
Yellow and Blue - TP4050 w/1814 (76mph)
tp4070cm 2700kv trust me if i didn't have this crazy esc and the batteries to push it, it wouldn't be anywhere near as fast. i just gotta get the hop out of it expecially in the corners. this setup is not easy to keep together trust me. ideal would be something a little less set on kill/explode but hey I SENT IT lol. Current Namba 1mile record holder and has lots more expecially since im breaking in the batteries(record set on 1st charge of brand new batteries). Hope to eventually get the dam gps in her and see what its doing.

There's some hop there, but it appears you are still carrying a lot of speed thru the turns. Nothing wrong with that! It shows a little bottom every once in awhile, but stays upright. Looks good.
Are you using the castle 240 esc? If you can find a way to get the esc temps to stabilize and not continuously rise, then maybe it would be OK? I have the same problem. The cooling on those things is not adequate IMO. Mike Ball did a really nice upgrade. I'm hoping to do it soon.
Pete, I wish you could have seen P sport yesterday. Some of the sickest corners I have ever witnessed. Guys were on fire.
