Do you count 4s as the number of cells on board or as the voltage in use?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nS3fMho1Oh8
This is 4s2p but the currents are in a range so counting like SAW with 4 cells on board would also work but on the other hand some weight also gives stability.

    4s I count as 2, 2s in series, a single 4s, or 4s in parallel.

    Sure.
Nobody would try a big original one with a single engine...

This catamaran is currently the fastest with 4S1P.

1 battery pack with 4S1P on both engines. Next week in Munich at the SAW, the boys will try to crack the 200 km / h in this class.

Those Bandit hulls are awesome. I could never get mine to turn well but going straight was incredible.

Nice. I wonder if a DF Pathfinder could handle that speed?

I thought the thread was about the Bandit-S cat. That’s the one I have. I would take another one of those.

If you prefer a Mystic design have a look to the Maritimo, Back side of the hull is the same

I don’t like how they have rules in these saw events that force you to limit battery capacity effectively forcing you to buy the most expensive batteries to be competitive. Should be based on total discharge rates and not capacity!

    IMPBA has no capacity limits.

For NAMBA, it's 10k up to 6s. A cheap set of batters would likely be rated at 50c. That's a 500 amps at 10,000mah. Who even has a speedo that pulls 500 amps?

NAMBA's capacity limit is fantasy land anyway. Relies on the label. They're not out there in the field verifying capacity. Would take forever. .

It was in there from the start for people that were fighting the introduction of lithium polymere. LiPo was supposed to be the end of racing according to some. They believed people would win by carrying 50,000mah. Which is of course ridiculous. Eventually you're making a submarine instead of a boat. It really should go away like IMPBA's did. Check voltage.....done.

Oh and twins should never compete with singles in either organization. My opinion. Apples n' cinder blocks.

I agree with both your comments and perspectives. Decent batteries are fairly cheap enough. Quad 1515’s and 4 T180’s on 10,000mah 40c 6s didn’t cut it 10 years ago . Destroyed the batteries on 2 passes , been nice to have the expensive batteries back then in the quad drive Conquest. Seems like it’s just too easy to go really fast these days. I just like to get out and fun run now .
