    Default If my motor and esc are running good temp

    If my motor and esc are running good temp what would make my batterys get so hot ?...can it be there 7 year old new batterys ?...I bought these batterys 7 years ago and never used them till now

    Most likely internal bridge issue or possible lead issue. Could also be the cells are going bad or are bad.

    I think it might have to do with 7 year batterys and never used till now ...one of the first things I did do is test all the battery connection nothing was hot ...I guess I'll find out when I get my new batterys

    Maybe the older battery was not designed to handle the current your setup is pulling.

    I bought a 4s 3000mah 20c emerland lipo around 2015. I did a test and the internal resistance was measured at .048 ohms. I was limited to running 60amps or around. Trying to higher amps with this battery resulted in battery getting hot.

    Also discharging a lipo too much can result a hot battery.

    It have cells today with much lower internal resistance capable of handling real high amps without getting hot.
