Default Boat stand / transport stand / transport case?

    Hello guys.

Dont know if this is the right section, but cant find a better place for it

Boat stands... Transport stands... Or transport cases...
What do you use and why?

I am thinking of making flightcases/roadcase for my F1 hulls. Its a big case for a 1400mm boat, but it would be easy to stack them up in storage and can take a beating.
    And it looks awesome :P

Many people build stands from PVC pipe and foam pipe insulation. I use large foam blocks I get from work that I contour to match the bottom of each hull and use those to transport in the car and at the lake. Some of my larger cats go in custom made padded sleeves. I bought an inexpensive rifle case to pack my Genesis in for a long road trip and that worked out great. F1 hulls are a completely different animal height wise, so as you mentioned, a fully enclosed case will be a good size box for sure.

I have seen those PVC pipe stands, and I like them as a stand at home.
But I am using a small trailer to lug boats and 1/5 cars and gear around.
Space is limited in a small VW hatchback
So some sort of enclosed case would be the best option in my mind. Fully stackable in the trailer.
But we are talking a case measuring around 150x55x35cm!

Those F1 large scale hulls are indeed massive!

I've seen more than one trailer with setups similar to this rack, which was built by Herzog Racing I believe.

    Here’s my version.
    Shelves/transporter:
Two upper bunks are for cats..

And then a few shelves for the other couple boats

Well i have taken the flightcase/roadcase to the next level.
I have bought all the required tools and stuff and will be making boxes just for boats. On order..

Dont know if it will be a success, but as a hobby side buisness it cant go totally wrong.

Thinking of a name and Maybe website.
    Boatbox.com :D

Well, First order will be for my own F1 Haha.

I really like Gill's FG boat stand but I wanted to make some from PVC tubing kinda like Post #9 from Jesse.

Is there one design that is modular that it can stacked like that and be taken apart for individual stands?

I'm still searching the forum but I'd love to see peoples handiwork and copy it if it's suitable.

    TIA!
