What sort of high performance, do you want high efficiency or flat out high speed?

For the Endurance racing that I do low blade area CNC prop series from Dr Props, Tenshock and TP are signifantly more efficient than a stock BSP Octura, and you have to do some significant thinning and reshaping of the Octura blades to get that back. To take that to an extreme the Graupner carbon props are the most efficient props available and while they are very fragile they give more performance per watt than any metal prop possibly can.

On the other hand the CNC props we race with and even the modded Octura props I race with will fold up like a flower if I use them with SAWs power levels. Octura, ABC and Prather cast props with near stock thickness are much stronger and thus will be capable of handling more power and thus reaching higher speeds.

The one exception to that is Dr Prop, who CNCs his props from stainless steel not aluminium alloy, his NAMBA range are much thicker than his Naviga range and can handle some serious power.
