Default Prather cat II conversion to Electric

I am currently converting a a Prather Lap catII from 7.5cc to Electric. My specs for far are the old lower end K&B, 7.5, the motor I am using is Proboat 1500kv, Flycolor 150 amp ESC, Battery is Powerhobby 5200mAH, 50C. The prop is a brass prop two blade 2 inch in diameter ( not sure how to find out what the number it is). I am going to run this as a sport boat and will not be using for racing. Since I am new to this sport I was wondering if that anyone has done this and could tell me if the components I am using are correct for this boat. Also does the battery have to be waterproof and if so can you just put it in a water tight box in the boat

most props have the number stamped into the face of the hub, some times this number gets mashed up by the prop nut, makes it hard to read if a silicon tube spacer is not used between nut an prop,. Remove prop see if any numbers left on it?
