Hey I have a Reedy ESC in my carpet racer, I plugged it in wrong and smoke was let out. But it’s still running fine.

BTW, I was told 8s on those motors with those props= 100mph.

With the right esc and props, going over 100mph is possible however you may need to upgrade your struts to longer units......

So I got a quick run in today... few niggles to workout, no flow from the cooling circuit, think the rudder isn’t always centering itself as it arcs about after a turn..

Probably didn’t go over 50% throttle but all seems okay, I’ll make the move to 8s when I get my new esc...

For now I’ll try get her running nice on 6s.

So one thing I noticed today was the water cooling doesn't work...

Any ideas ? I wasn't flying a long just a gentle shake down... this is how I mounted them but not getting any flow, did check if they where blocked but both are ok...?

That pickup appears to be shaped properly and in a good spot on the hull. If you disconnect the hose from that pick-up, can you blow through the rest of the cooling system?

    Yeah, no blocks...... strange???

Anyway, on advice from the AS26-150 manufacturer I won't run it anymore until I get some new ESC which is 1-2 weeks.

In the mean time, I quite fancy a rigger so might look into building one of them.. Something like the H&M Dr. super evil 2...

So my new ESC are on the way... even tho they are 'old' some of the guys in Germany who have been helping sold me these...

they where going to be produced but for one reason or another only a few ESC where built, these are from a unwanted project I didn't even know they existed until I was offered them...

Looks like dual cooling plates with parallel lines, four barbs per side.

Yeah, apparently lot of high quality parts was used which significantly raised the cost... and significantly raised the power it could handle without increasing the size.

    cant wait to get them.

just to put a closure on this, I've posted the boat to Manuel who has been helping me out over the years, he has agreed to finish the boat for me,

It's already in Germany should be with him tomorrow.

The esc's "as26-XXX" i still haven't received, i could of just gone with some MGM but i wanted to keep with the AS26 so i should be getting them end of this month / next month after a lot of persuasion.

I upgraded the cell count, it now have 3 sets of 7s lipos to use, 2 SLS Xtron and 4x SLS APL Magnum v2 and one set of 6s Xtron

speed goals is to break the 100mph barrier without getting anything too hot - shouldn't be too much trouble for 2250's on 7s especially with the experience of manuel..

I'm also going to build a Mono for use with the 6s probably, have ordered a TP4070, 1850 KV... will use a 300 amp esc and a very small prop to start with... then try and aim for a 80mph mono. it will be the KBB 34" hull which other members have hit 90+ with.

    Some updates from Manuel...

For the hpr i have a package of props from andy brown to pickup, x457 cut to 52mm, and some ABC 2016 which will be saw props... probably in the 110mph mark.
I also have a set of 8s SLS quantum 65c packs for saw runs..

I also invested in a H&M mono, it was powered by a tp5850 on 10s but decided i needed a 30xx series lehner in my life so went with a 3060... expectin about the 70-75mph mark

    First as26 with anti spark....

The H&M mono will be 3060 powered... it was built with a tp5850 but

    Very happy.
