Fun thread!
Thanks for sharing!
Final pieces of the puzzle are ordered,
Hope I have everything,
Radio and charger arrived today,
Batts and motors in the next few days....
Dusted off my old widows PC and connected the ESC, emailed the manufacturer about a setting guide (program is in German)
That pic came out a bit small;
Anyway. 8mm to 4.75 coupler
waterjackets for 2250
Hatch tape
Antenna
water piping.

Well the 2250's showed up this morning,
mounted the battery trays, did a little bit of tidying up, the hull needs a wash to be honest.. it's sat for years in storage.

Plan to install an additional motor support,
Whats the usual method of doing this?
Mount the motor, put the mount in place, epoxy ? I was thinking about using some 6x6mm carbon square tube to increase the surface area of epoxy, maybe file it a little to meet the angle of the mount? or would I be better off with some cloth?

Got the hatch all lined up and ready for drilling... will give it a go tomorrow.
Also the SLS Lipo's turned up with my 6mm new bullets so soldered the motors / batteries up.
Used one of them tools for measuring spark plugs to get a uniform hatch gap...

So since I've decided to give this hull the proper attention it deserves... I had long time thought that I'd got a fibreglass hull (originally ordered carbon Kevlar) and got a black hull... found out it's actually a full carbon hull so that kinda made my day...
Anyway, got to thinking about paint / graphics, nothing really took my fancy so thought about combining the graphics from my other boat... the Azimut Atlantic Challenger....
What do you guys think? theres a site online selling the complete graphics set so id just ask if they could resize a few graphics to make it fit better on the HPR, the challenger is about 1.3m long so it should be a fairly good fit hopefully.

I think that looks good.
Here is today’s run on 6s with same motors. A bit rough out there but the HPR handles it decent

BTW I clocked 80mph yesterday on a bit better water.
Black / Yellow, Black / Orange , Black / Turquoise ...
Good to know, How are run times / temps?
If I get chance after I get it built and setup, I have a fairly high quality drone which could get some interesting shots of it out on the water...
I drilled the hatch, sunk the countersinks into the hull with 4mm carbon plate to strengthen the rivnut area...
Now I just need them couplers and it's pretty much ready for shakedown;
Alfa, was there a picture attached?

That's good to know, my AS26-150's where rated to 250 amps max, I believe they can take more but that's the spec.
Gonna email hydro marine tomorrow find out about my couplers!

Having issues signing in over the past few days... boat's built just need the couplers, Hydro marine didn't have stock, and are taking a long time to reply... then I found out there on holiday so I've ordered from MHZ on priority delivery, hopefully by the weekend we can have a sea trial......

I like the MBP clutch collets, no need to grind a flat on the shaft, the MTC collects are also nice

Yeah, I looked into getting them but couldn't get express shipping...

Well, it was almost complete, stbd is all done but my port side, as per my other thread I have a bolt that's a hair too far in and its rounded the head.
need to try and get it. out before I can run it.. everything else is good to go. just refine the CG and shaft heights.

Hope you get that sucka out. If not then the slot should do it. I’d say a light tap on a nut driver sometimes shocks the screw loose but I wouldn’t with the epoxy in there.
Yeah, thinking I'll be buying a dremel tomorrow...
Just so tight, not much room for anything.

I responded with my tricks in your other thread about the stripped cap bolt. You can try a little heat by the way of a soldering iron tip on the cap head.

Managed to knock it loose with a punch / hammer.....
Now the next hurdle, tried to program the ESC tonight, plugged in the battery and voila; smoke straight from the ESC.
Im trying to persuade them to repair it or if no progress by Wednesday morning ill order something new.. probably some MGM's. this 'quick cheap rebuild' is turning into a lot more than I bargained for...
well at least from now on it will be known as "k-19 "

Holy carp!!! I thought these were good res! Mmm
well it did sustain some damage years ago but it was fine...
(a drive snapped and damaged it)
Now my options are I guess a MGM controller or?

MGM 28026 for 6s or MGM 25035 for 8s I use the lite versions fully water proofed...

the MGM 25035 is what ill probably get... I do have one other option (don't know if im allowed to speak about it on a public forum) Will update when I know more...

Another plot twist... I was having issues programming my 'good' esc while I work out what to do... anyway, I had to reverse the throttle to get it to set right.. took a while to workout.
I'm currently in talks about my ESC situation, I might have the option to get something a little special and rarely seen but ill keep that quiet until I'm allowed to let the details out...
I did plug the 'damaged' ESC, after checking it over on the laptop and seeing everything was fine... plugged it in, programmed it and it worked fine... gave it the bathtub test, left it plugged in on 6s for 30 minutes, no issues... no smoke?
Now do I run it for now? I know its a different ball game spinning a 2250 to a bench test and would hate to burn the rest of the boat...
I will still hopefully get these 'special' ESC's as now im all giddy and back into it im already thinking about how I'm going to get my boat over the 100mph mark... i think the 2250's are more than capable, just need to figure out 7s or 8s to get there?
Some pics of the finished boat...
