    Default Seaking 120 amp version # 2 ?

Hi all im installing the above mentioned esc in my 22'' mono with a Leopard 2845 4420 kv b/l motor on 2s . My ? is i noticed on the Hobbywing program card there is a option to program reverse function on the esc i plan on running the boat in a small pond with other club members and considering using this function as a brake to stop the and back up to avoid a collision. In the 12 years i have been involved using brushless motors and esc's i have never set up for the reverse fuction. Is this esc designed to use the reverse function ? Would there be any issue's using it on the Leopard 2845 motor ? Any other problems that may arise using reverse for the intention mentioned ? Regards Andris Golts.

If you are running a flex shaft & putting in reverse is not a good idea as it can unwind the flex.

That's about the worst thing to happen and only at higher loads. Minor use of reverse and lower power levels should be fine.

Your transom may want to suck the boat down with too much power.
