    Default which Motor?

I need to finish this BBY Offshore 21 and trying to figure out which motor to use with a 2S pack. Looking at a Leo 3650/ 2930 KV, not for racing just bashing around the pond.
Would this combo work with an X435?
Probably should limit to 60A...or even a little less.
Would a TP Power 3630/3267KV be a better choice?

    For 2s I normally start around 4500kv

A 2845 makes more sense in that tiny hull, smaller and weighs less. Leopard has 3650 and 4420 Kv versions.

Your going to want more than a 60a esc for the Leopard 3650-4420 kv motor, the TP 3630 - 3267 kv is an even higher amperage motor again.

If you want to get it as light as possible you could use an outrunner like Peggy pepper 2221,(85 g) or 2524, (113 G). A heli-ESC and no water pickup. So less friction.

Another option you can look into is a leopard 2860 4050kv and a seaking 120 to go with the x435 this would be a good 2s setup.

If you can see yourself wanting to try 3s at some point.

Leopard 2860 3400kv and the seaking 120 would be a good option for 3s and 2s bashing with the x435.

Poster #6 is spot on with a 3400 on 3S x .85% gives you 32071 or so but I like 6 pitch like a 633 carbon prop which is cheaper to buy than a metal prop if you have someone to b/s the prop. I wouldn't go much higher on mm of prop as heat comes into play. ESC, ? size as 90 amp water proof should be enough. Make sure the connectors are at least 4MM in size. What happens is boaters not letting motor unwind with to big a prop. Only trying to make a smile on your face when all goes well. Have a good day!
