    Default Polyurethane (2-component) varnish vs. epoxy ?

    Never tried polyurethan.. Are there any +/- ?

    Epoxy is water proof and way harder.

    Poly will turn yellow and I think also the epoxy best to use a 2 part automotive clear I use to use dupont 580S it was great stuff but imron based

    Thanks. Well then epoxy it is. In this video they finish with poly, and it looks beautiful, (52 min. 30 sec.)

    I just did one with spar urethane. It will yellow I think and isn't super tough but I already sealed with epoxy prior. I kinda like that aged look.

    I ended up using Spray MAX 2K clearcoat, (spray can). It was too mutch work using epox and brush, ( and the use of P1500 wet sanding afterwards).. I have no mask and have to do it outside before 8 am, (thats when the bugs wake up). The Spray MAX is really great I think. It evens out very well, and does not run if you do as instructed.. I probably overdid the stickers and painted black spots...But its just a cover up for most of my "mistakes".
