Anyone know where to buy rudder pin for a cheetah with stock hardware? Measures 3.8mm or .150. Have use the shaft of a #25 drill bit before but would like to find a source for one.

can you buy a piece of .150 stainless rod and cut it to length. ? or even an old busted .150 flex shaft end would do.
Didnt think about flex end. Anyway, did the old drill bit trick again. works well but running out of bits that size. lol I should know better , the stock pin doesnt have a flat on it and the bushings are not blind so the pin can drop out of the bottom if the grub screw loosens at all.

Go to McMaster-Carr.com look for Nylon or plastic screws and nuts. Measure the hole dia. and buy something a little smaller than the hole size. The reason they use plastic screws is so you don't destroy your rudder hitting rocks or worse tear the transom up. Don't use drill rod. Plastic screws and nuts are cheap as hell. Ot you could go to the maker of your boat and they probably sell spares .
Thanks coop but I’m talking about the rudder pin that the rudder pivots on and connects the rudder to the strut.
