    Cool The Xtinction Even

She is ready for the confused water to melt...
Going for p mono, flooded stuffing tube (don’t know what strut depth she gonna want), and more red bling. Betting I’ll end up with an octura detongued 452... but will need to do lots of testing.
Gonna put a pair of 4s packs along side the motor mount.

Thanks Jay... it’s the only place I’ve found with red hardware.
Not bad quality, but it takes forever to get here from Australia.
I contacted an anodizing company but they didn’t reply.

Jesse, have you blueprinted it? Just wondering how true the bottoms are?

So many decisions for hull choice for P mono now.

Eric, I have not worked on the bottom. It has a light hook, so I’ll be working that soon. Probably could be sanded out, but I’ll probably fill with bondo glaze so I don’t raise the transom. I want a white belly anyway so I’m visible if I were to ever have to show it in a race.

Steve, I went with TP 4060 (3Y) 1750 kv, trying to mimic the Neu 1521 1.5d.

Yes - it’s more rooted in liking lower kv motors for lower amp draw and higher torque. This requires a larger prop and then a higher strut.

Cool. I always learn something new from you. I really thought that was too low of a kv but, you know your stuff.

You must have some thin props.

Just something I made up. I was one of the few to get a Ray Presnell version of a Motley Crew made in Vietnam.

Will run it as soon as water melts here. Setup for P limited cat.

Vid coming soon. Need to charge my GoPro and/or recruit a photographer.. I’ve been testing alone until I find somebody nearby to get into the hobby.

Ran it again yesterday and went from 448 to a 450/3 prop and speeds went from 48 to 55mph. Super smooth water, still pretty stable but might need to loosen up a little. Me home made turn fins lock her into as tight a turn you’d ever need to do!
