Default Cheap Rocket 5692s for a Scale Scarab 54"?

I want twins for this 54" Dumas Scarab but hate to spend much for a sport boat. Does anyone have any experience with these, or would you be hesitant to use them? They look good and seem similar in design to GoolRC and others I have heard good reports about. Cooling jackets look nice and the price is excellent $92 each for two:

Can't speak for the motors, but the jackets are identical to the GoolRC jackets which I've been using a lot of recently. They have more internal volume than the TP jackets and I like the low profile water barb positions. Too bad the only way to get a 56mmm jack is with the motor. Haven't found them separate yet. At that price, it's probably worth a shot if you're not expecting the moon from the build. I bet the bearings are garbage and would be an easy point to upgrade if they pull apart easy enough.

    Mike.
What voltage are you intending to use? If you were thinking of 12s, they are only rated to 41v max.
Ryan is correct. The bearings may be a weak point. I have a few 40mm size motors similar to those brands where the bearings flogged out in no time.

The other thing is that they are only a 4 pole motor, whereas most other 56 series motors are 6 pole. That usually means more torque & higher efficiency.
But since you have two motors driving the boat it may not be such an issue.

    Ryan.
TFL make 56mm jackets in two lengths for their SSS motors. 65mm & 75mm.
    DyMotorshop sell them.

But Steve also sells them and a 100mm length too. Not sure if they are the TFL brand or the TP brand though.

    Cheers.

    No worries Mike.
But what voltage are you using?

    I'll start with 10S and my 457s.

Motors arrived. They look good to me! I can read the word Indonesia on the rear bearing...
