    Default Introducing SUPERTUG

welp, i had to do it. a while back i bought an atlantic harbor tug from AQ.. it worked well for rescues, but was way too slow in my oppinion. So everyone told me it was a bad idea to do so i did it anyway. its now brushless, using the sv27 pats. (motor, shaft, prop) has a castle MAMBA esc, with a novak fan for cooling. i made a "radaitor" system to cool the motor, i took a tupperware container and out a mini bildge pmpin it to pump ice water around the motor. ill take more pics later but here is a quick vid Enjoy!

Dude refab the riggers from 3/4 foam backer board. Seal them in epoxy and you will have a plaining surface. She will rock:).

How did you attach the rescue gear to the tug?? I have the same tug but all that much power!! WOW! I just did a traxas 27 turn 550 w a 40 amp marine speed control works pretty good. But I just want to know how you attached the pvc to the hull..... Got any Photos?

ill snap some in detail later, but i drilled holes in the hull and ran the pvc through it whole boat. jb welded around the holes where the pvc went through. water tight and i can take rigging off the boat and still fit it in the truck

haha thanks for the coments, i have more fun doing rescues now, that was just a showoff run, i set the esc for 50% throttle, and it moves along flat at about 5-10 mph. my digicam wasnt working so look for pics soon. i will warn you it aint all the pretty. and yeah im kinda new to boats, but have been into r/c for quite sometime. i dont like leaving anything stock. stock means like everyone elese.. i ;like to be diffrent.

I would find a flat bottom hull. Something like a nitro or gass crackerbox. Then use your connection @ QA to get a harbor tug upper deck. Round out the bow and stern a little then intergate the tug deck. All thats left is a brushed 800 or KB45 and you have SUPER TUG!!
