Don, we are still trying to nail down the final list of classes to be offered. The electrics have really picked up over the past couple of years and we are trying to work with those guys to make sure we offer classes their traveling contingent is interested in (and we can fill up). More info. to come...

    Thanks,
    Lamar

My kid was watching this like a hawk for some reason.

69 racers and 244 entries since the ball dropped. Sweet. Plenty of sparkies too. Even some guys I don't know. Verrrrry cool. Can't wait.

I received a text from Ken Haines at 12:20 AM and it went BEZERK after that! I spent all day yesterday answering texts, phone calls, PM's, and FB messages. Lots of shuffling going on behind the scenes to try to make room for as many ppl as possible without overextending the heat count. We sincerely appreciate the support and knowing we have this kind of turnout out of the gate will allow us to plan accordingly.

    Thanks guys and gals!

Oh man. It sucks when people drag their feet to sign up. You don't know what to plan for.

That must have been the same text I got. I wan't sure who all those numbers were. We were beating the bushes from midnight on. haha Couple guys I was hoping we could convince still couldn't pull it off. Some got "the talk". Too funny. My wife put this event on the family calendar before the first of the year. Woman is a saint. We always have fun down there.

We really appreciate you all hosting an event like this Lamar. Those that haven't done so don't really recognize what it is to do the job. Sure there's labor and all but it's mentally taxing too. Gets easier with more humans you can trust to just DO stuff. Something as menial as getting gas for the retrieve boat. Somebody has to do it or yer hosed. If there's some way we can help let us know. Besides acting a fool. I plan to do that on my own.

Hardly dragging their feet when it's only been 48 hours and all but 5 classes are sold out!

Many thanks to the Voodoo Model Boat Club! The gang from Louisiana will be preparing and serving Jambalaya to all the racers Saturday night at our upcoming Spring Nationals event. The Voodoo club is a class act and we sincerely appreciate the generous gesture!

    Thanks,
    Lamar

Will be my second time. Staying in the RV again, back by the tree line. 5 classes this year. Yikes.

Thanks, Lamar, for managing the entry process.

We have over 45 boats on the waiting list for the initial class offerings.

In years past (when entries were lower) we added Open Hydro and Open Mono to give those attending additional classes to run (and up the entry count).

They may return again in the future, it all just depends on how the entries flow in.

    Thanks,
    Lamar

Is there a list for limited offshore? Ty is on the fence about dropping that. It would be sweet to only have 6 boats to fiddle with. More time to heckle.

Not at this time, but I do have one guy on the P-Limited Mono waiting list.

Let me shoot him a message to see if he would be willing to take the P-Limited Offshore spot instead.

If, so... I'll let you know.

    Thanks,
    Lamar

    Gents,

The individual on the waiting list for P-Limited Mono never wrote me back, so for now I'll leave everything "as-is"...

Most of the boats on the waiting list are gas and nitro. The electric guys jumped on the entries fast and most that wanted in, got in.

The following classes have ppl on the waiting list:

    P Limited Mono = 1 person
    P Sport Hydro = 1 person
    P Limited Rigger = 2 people

    Thanks,
    Lamar
