Here is where I'm at now. This is my second brushless FE build. Previous boats were mostly nitro. Motor is a TP3640 1935kv. It will run on 4s.

Others here on the forum have run tp motors near their max voltage witth smallish props for the given hull to good success.
He was running a 4060 1650kv, on 8S with an X646 prop.
For your motor, max voltage 31V.
Once you get more experience, 6S and a smallish prop could be an option for more speed.
Here is the reference thread.

Nice build. I think you will have great fun with that setup. Good speed. Good runtime. just a question. How wide is the mid section ?
Thank you very very much.
So any pics of the end result love to see what paint job you went with.
Sorry for the delay... Ran the boat all spring, but 2 weeks ago, the drive shaft tube failed under the ski. So need to replace that, which means cutting the ski off I guess. First time I have had that problem. My 21 Zippkit JAE is several years old and has seen MANY races and crashes. But anyways, here is a pic I took just before it's maiden voyage. No special paint job. lol Cowl is painted yellow now.

Is there a specific reason to use ZPOxy to build this or is West Systems o.k. or too heavy????
Nortavlag Bulc
Z-Poxy Finishing Resin is easy to find and easier to mix, and cheaper for a few builds. West may be better quality, but Z-Poxy is fine.

Why did you mount the rudder on the opposite side recommended in the manual!
