Every now an then an outboard tunnel boat project comes up. I got another one about to get started. Even rarer is a offshore catamaran or deep vee outboard build. Seems to me I recall a center console sport fisher with twin outboards, but not really much comes up with outboards. Why, What you thinking in the way of outboards?

Hi creekrunner last winter i re-built a Dunlap W.O.F 30''tunnel hull and set it up with a Leopard 4082 1600 KV Leopard on a O.S lower unit with 6S power got speeds to 59 mph ran great on perfectly smooth water with no wind but a useless set up on rougher condition;s i will back of to 4S power with a Leopard 3674 2200 KV motor . Also re-finished a 22'' Stark tunnel hull using a K&B 3.5 lower unit and a Leopard 2860 2190 KV on 4S. Regards Andris Golts.

    Hi Creekrunner,
I have been running a couple Dragon Hobby F1 boats all summer. I think I broke over a dozen flex shafts on those 650EP outboards. I made a 3/16" brass sleeve for the shafts which seemed to help a little. Are you having problems too?

Default My Tunnel Hull is snowed in

    Hey creekrunner,
I know the feeling, I live near Buffalo, NY and we're under a winter storm warning.
I look forward to sharing info on these outboards. I've been an Outboard guy and a River Rat for a long time. Stay safe!
