Default My Sonicwake 36 from 54mph to 73mph!!

First run on My new Pro Boat "Sonicwake" 36 self righting boat. The gps logger got 64mph and the gps devices got it at 63mph. This run was right out of the box except for a prop swap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEZs9EmC5P0&t=14s

I think this will be my 10yr old son's new boat. He loves green and almost all his boats, cars and drones came in green or i painted them green. So this one will definitely be on his Christmas list. Mark, looking forward to what you might do with this. . .probably set fastest run on all times with this in stock form as with your other two. . LOL

Thanks Chris! You got something coming your way I'll talk to you about later. I'm thinking it might get mid 60's to maybe 70mph once I put one of the good props on it. Got to tame her down a little though.

Brian, Thanks and your son will love this boat!

Kyoshosp2, I used a modified and reduced Octura prop that was from Chris.

    Will do 30nitro!

Thanks! I went over all bolts and screws and I added Loctite where needed and found the rudder mounting screws were a little loose. I took the strut bushing out and sanded a little on it so it would spin free and put a cable saver on the flex shaft. I did add a few drops of 3 in 1 oil on the hatch bolts and ran them in a couple of times to get the threads broken in and that's about it. Good luck with yours.

Raphael has spoke about this very thing, he suggests to remove the stuffing tube & anneal the tube so that the tube & strut can be moved easier by bending the tube a small amount to give either + or - adjustment on the strut.

Default My Pro Boat Sonicwake hits 69 stock!

Here is my latest run of 69mphwith a prop from Chris Hoffmann (dasboata).. Rafael please have Horizon fix the "maps" compatibility issue for the Dynamite gps logger...They no longer display on them on the PC....

Edit: The map portion is now somewhat working again so I have attached an updated photo from the data logger to show where the boat actually hit 69mph at which was right in front of the dock on the first pass.

This is a new prop. I'll respect dasboata props and not give the info out publicly but if anyone wants to buy one from him I've told him what prop I used and he can modify yours like mine.

Default My "Super" Sonicwake 36 hits 71mph stock with dasboata prop!!

I finally got my "Super" Sonicwake 36 into the 70+mph club! The gps logger got the boat at 71mph and the Gps device got the boat at 70.7mph. The little boy Dwayne came to fish with his family but his fishing pole never hit the water he was so interested in the Sonicwake..Lol!

Hi guys I just get my Sonicwake. I remove the flexshaft to add some grease. I wonder how to align the flexshaft all seems fixed. And also can't see how to adjust the strut ??
What prop do you guys recommend whit stock electronics for little more speed.

Congrats! Loosen the bolt that holds the strut in place and loosen the two screws that hold the stuffing tube in place inside the boat and move to the desired position then tighten everything back up.

As for the prop a 45mm prop from dasboata will get you a little more speed over stock (he knows which one you'll need). Or step up to the "Super Sonic" prop from dasboata if you want to touch or get near 70mph with a decent setup.

Ok i take a look at strut. Im NOT so lucky i Can order props from Dashbota. I live in Danmark and shipping and import cost is extremly High so was thinking a 45 mm CNC prop but NOT sure if it Will overload ESC becurse AMP draw Will get to High . But i Think i Will just try it.

Default My "Super" Sonicwake hits 69.4mph

Another test session today...69.4mph was the top speed today. I was setup for laps before this speed run and forgot to fully put the boat back into speed run trim, so I left a mph or so on the table and I know it but oh well. The speed may have been 71.xx mph if I was thinking properly...LOL!

Default Sonicwake 36 hits 52mph with a 100% stock out of the box prop!

My Sonicwake 36 100% Box stock (prop and all). It's a little long but Hopefully you will enjoy it. The "teaser run" at the beginning was with the stock prop as well. The rescue "nudge" scene was sped up because I couldn't see the boat in the glare. It finally self righted on it's on My batteries shifted in the flip and it was just enough to get my balance off and make it extremely slow to right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVwXywRdEvA
