The c.o.g. is right at the turn fin trailing edge.
Hmmn, I setup up three drive modes, each with differing dual rates, 100%, 75% & 50%. Suppose I should try them, huh? Forgot about using them and it wasn't a problem running slower...
Please recommend Octura props in the X or M series that compares in size to what I'm running now. It's a ABC 2018-10-50(2)-CLL. And why to use them? They don't list their rake angles, so I didn't buy any.
Thank you for all your help...
Here it is, balanced on a spare boom tube...
The rake angle on the Octura X & M series is 10 degrees. The same as your ABC prop you have listed above.
However. Your 2018-10-50 has a pitch ratio of 1.8. That's a lot of pitch.
I would be inclined to say, that is most probably the cause of your tail hop and prop torque steering issue.
A pitch ratio of 1.4 or 1.6 would be more stable than 1.8
The 17 series prop you have ordered will have less lift. But what diameter & pitch did you order?
I find that it is best to have the bottom of strut level with the table when both front & rear sponsons are sitting flat on the table.
That puts it horizontal with the waterline when on the plane.
Just my thoughts on the matter. However I run the RSX310 not the 380.
Cheers.
