Hi guys, what is the recomended motor upgrade for this boat ? i have 2x leopard 4092 1390kvthat someone sels localy for okay price. will this be to big and low kv for this boat ?
would the 4082 2000kv work better ?
also going to replace the stock esc with some 180A
have somebody done upgrade to this boat and can give me a setup that is working and is faster than stock :-)

Well, the first thing I'm gonna recommend is reinforcement. That boat will split in half at low speeds. The 180's and 2000Kv motors are a good setup.

4082 is plenty size wise and something in the 2000kv range will be great for 4,5s and possibly 6s depending on your needs.

I also highly recommend beefing the hull up some. I do own one and it has been running well for a number of years.

I got 4082 1600kv with 180's on 6s each side with 45mm props and it is still running cool (dual cooling one run for each ESC and motor). I'm going to wait until I get some good GPS numbers before I try bigger props. But I am glad I have had some fast runs and have not burnt anything up yet.
