Could be the smaller prop is less efficient and struggling to push the boat as easily as the larger prop causing the amps to be higher.

Keep at it Crash...you'll sneak up on the perfect setup for your boat soon enough. I'm really liking the data. What I see is that this thread and the one that 785Boats referenced has a lot of old school thinkers throwing in their 2 cents. I don't know if you read that thread that he linked, but I did. I've had quite a few discussions with Travis about rpm and mph. I'm in his camp. My motto is...if you're not breaking, you're not trying. You gotta cook some stuff now and then or you're leaving fun on the table. It's only money...you'll make more.

I have a couple more smaller millimeter props to try see if this one was a fluke the 48 millimeter prop that I ran yesterday is a cupped version wonder if that what influence to amp draw being less

If r/c is too expensive, there are PLENTY of low cost hobbies out there. It's all about smiles per dollar, and learning costs money.

This is a lesser of two evils for me, it used to be Camaro’s and Friday/Saturday night racing. You think a little blown up ESC is pricey!! Lol

Funny you mention that. I wanted to be a drag racer when I was a kid. When I got my driver's license, my mom gave me a '75 Cutlass. Went through that car, a '77 Monte Carlo my grandparents gave me, and a '70 Chevelle I bought. They all helped me financially for two years...waaaay too expensive of a hobby. Countless tires, 5 engines, 3 transmissions, 1 rear diff, bunch of brake parts, etc... Yeah, I'm more than happy to replace esc's or motors regularly lolol.

No. It's because even though it is a smaller prop he is pulling full throttle. So much higher revs than when he was using the larger prop at only partial throttle. Therefore higher amps.

Anyway, I'll leave you guys with it.

went to the pond to meet up with the Marquette Boat Club here in town. They are there most sundays . had about 8 to 9 boats there today …...super fun.

I ran mine this morning before everyone got there but, when I went back at it the steering servo let go. opened it up and its all water and rust.

    so, no more runs today.

    YES, motion rc.

the admirals were doing great parallel but, now that I am running them in series with a 3s they are not balancing out perfectly anymore. I have two 5s 4000mah and they are both refusing to balance out.
