    Default Pulled the trigger...

Well... some of you have seen my chronicles of the old monster vee i have been trying (mostly in vain) to ressurect... im fed up with the boat after the latest attempts at finding a good prop combo to go fast... LOL so.... browsing ebay last night and this morning, came across an open box Volantex Vector 70... for $60... said screw it and bought it... so... heres the next project in the bogie boat house... approx 25" hull, gets decent reviews, and seems to be easily modded for high speeds... i know its no carbon race boat but atleast the tech isnt 30 yrs old...LOL

With these lower end boats like the Volantex you are better going to rcgroups forum, their is lots of threads on various Volantex boats including the Vector 70. Also with lots of mods on these boats.

I know someone who had one of those.

He put in a leopard 4082 2000kv and ran a 42mm metal prop. And ran 4s.

    The boat was fast.

I think he had epoxy a mount in place for the motor.

If you are going to be running a more power full motor like that esp on 6s the flex wont last long @ all, the stock flex is only 3 mm & would need upgrading.
