I have a toy that is shaped in the manner of a certain part of the male anatomy. It works wonders with the wife, when you get older.

Ah, now I get it, but I thought this forum was about informing other poor souls on how to achieve their goals.

Sorry Steven, sort of an inside joke. I am very good friends with several of the guys at Horizon/JR/Spektrum and I was using Andy to poke some fun at them. Pay back for having to listen to them sing it's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown when I walk by in my ORange and Black Team Futaba shirt.

There's a Spektrum radio that reads your mind now!! WOW!!!

Ben, always rechargeable. The Scots count their pennies, but for a charger the sky is the limit. Can not afford a badly charged battery

    Telemetry, Bill, not telepathy!

Brundle says howdie. Haven't gotten around to seeing the others yet but as I do, I'll forward them your greetings.

    Andy,
Which SP400 pylon racer is that in the lower left of the picture? It almost looks like one of my old Falconet kits.

That's something I miss, dirt cheap pylon racing.

Now there's a thought. Take all those old F5D airplanes and spec a cheap brushless power system.

You're not serious about it until you convert it to brushless.

The correct term is Mind Meld. The problem is, you gotta have something for the electronics to meld with. The market is a lot smaller than with standard RC - few of the Fut users have the necessary equipment :D

Seriously though, I think it's fun to fly with sticks. If it just did what I thought it wouldn't be as much fun.

    BTW, JD says hi too.

Brian - the white/yellow pylon racer is a Micron 400 out of Europe. I got it from Sobox when he was still in business.

I wonder how many others caught that. Too many kids around here.

Brian - you can apparently still buy the Micron 400. I just did a little googling and found this.

    http://www.airsportsrc.com.au/kwarcinski.html

His price is double what I paid in 2004. I'm on my 4th wing now, and have a spare just in case made by a friend. Airfoil is a very clean S3016.

Did a little more and found out why it's more expensive now. My wing is balsa over foam. Look at the new one!

Now totally bum me out by telling me that Goldsmith is into the F5D planes and he will place in the top 5 at the next race. He really gets on my nerves. Glad he and JD don't do boats!! Although I would pay Caroline to monocote (OK, oracover) a plane for me!!!

What I love here is almost nobody has a clue what the heck I am talking about!!! Maybe I can get Peter or John out to Legg on Monday after the show. Let them play with the 3080/8 Sniper or the Storm or something. Maybe even a gas boat.

Of course it would have a Futaba radio in it (you know, the 2.4 radio that works on water) and that might leave burn marks on their hands!!!! But I still fly my 9303 (Just don't tell anyone) so it's all good!!

    Andy,
That's a cool little airplane. Bet it goes like stink with a little brushless and LiPos. Brings back memories.

I was trying to ignore the Star Trek references.

I used to think it was fast on 8 cells and 6V S400. You should see it go with a 20mm 3500KV! I don' t have a LiPo pack to fit it yet. Next season...

Each year I try to buy myself a Xmas present. 2 or was it 3 yrs ago was the Blue SV.. Last year was Batteries. This year.... the Traxxas Rusler VXL... all I have to say is H_LY SH_T... I ran her on one of my 7.4 5350 Lipo's and once on a 8.4 hump. I can not even think what the 11.1 will do. This thing is phsycotic... really unreal. I have to think this Veleion system will kick butt in a boat... all of this on one cell. I have one complaint, the battery tray is slightly to thin to fit my side by side packs with bars in there, but reality is if you got lipos you wont use anything else.
